Lisa Schmidt

Lisa Schmidt is a highly accomplished licensing professional with nineteen years experience in the television and publishing industries.
 
Lisa started her career in 1993 in Los Angeles, CA at a major film distribution company.  In 1998 she started her own film licensing company, negotiating TV deals on behalf of several independent film studios with many of the largest U.S Cable Networks and Hotel Pay Per View Operators, including Time Warner, Comcast, Lodgenet Entertainment and Hospitality Networks.  Lisa’s experience in rights management and contract negotiation led to more than 2,500 broadcast placements of independent studio titles in just the first few years.
 
In 2007, Lisa moved to Nashville, TN and began working in the Acquisitions and Editorial department of Thomas Nelson Publishers.  After many years in the film and television business, her time at Thomas Nelson restored her love of books and she embarked on a new journey in the publishing world.  As the newest member of The Fedd Agency team, Lisa looks forward to using her experience in publishing and background in sales to help create new media licensing opportunities for all of our authors. Additionally, Lisa is head of the Fedd Audio branch of the company, managing and overseeing production of audio books produced for clients.
 
Lisa lives in Austin, TX with her husband Marc and spends her spare time at the gym, reading, hiking or mountain biking around Lake Travis.
