Agency Managed Publishing

Self-Publishing is a growing trend for authors with and without promotional platforms. Many authors are turning to the option of independent digital publishing because of the shortened time frame for reaching the market or for niched projects that are difficult to place with merchants.

If you choose to go this route, there are a number of resources available to assist you, however with the multitude of options out there it can be an overwhelming decision. Key components of the process can fall through the cracks, quality can suffer, and exposure isn’t guaranteed.

The Fedd Agency offers authors the guidance and expertise necessary to navigate these waters and to make the best decisions for your project. We will advise you through each step of the process and help you produce a quality product you can be proud to have in the marketplace.

Whether you want a simple product to get your message out to readers or have a big vision for all the bells and whistles, we have a package that will meet your needs.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Proofing? Proofing/Proof Reading is a review of your manuscript to correct formatting, basic grammar, and punctuation errors, and ensuring proper citation of sources.

What is Editing? Editing is a substantive review of your manuscript to ensure your message is clearly and effectively communicated, that your story (for fiction) or your argument/proposition (for non-fiction) is well-supported and works. This includes corrections of grammar, punctuation, and syntax.

How do I submit my work? Your work should be submitted in a .doc, .docx, .rtf, or Pages file in Times New Roman 12pt. font with standard margins and double spacing.

What is the difference between the ebook formats? The epub file is for Kindle readers, the mobi file is for Nook, and the PDF is for reading on a computer instead of an e-reader. The PDF is also the format you will use for submitting your file to the printer if you desire hard copies of your book.

How do I distribute my ebook? We will assist you in getting your ebook loaded on the Amazon and Barnes and Noble retail sites. You may also make it available for purchase on your own website. (If you do not have a website, we offer web design as a service, but not web hosting.)
